Families invited to Go Wild in Hollins

A free day of outdoor fun takes place in Hollins on Sunday 22 September when the whole family is invited to Go Wild!

The action takes place at Hollins Vale Local Nature Reserve and the local football pitch and community centre, and features a host of attractions including a falconry and birds of prey display.

There will also be face-painting and pond-dipping, wood-turning demonstrations, snail racing, the chance to make a nest box, and meet the South Lancs Bat Group. The Mayor of Bury, Councillor Sharon Briggs, will present prizes and certificates to the winners of the photography competition.

The event has been organised by the council and Hollins Conservation Group, and runs from 11am to 5pm. It is free of charge, although children must be accompanied by an adult.
