Five more fines issued for fly-tipping and littering

A further five fines have been issued by Bury Council to people who illegally dumped their waste in our borough.

Two fixed penalty notices of £400 were issued for fly-tipping offences at Sion Street, Radcliffe and Andrew Street, Bury.

Three £75 FPNs were issued for littering at Bass Lane, Summerseat and Wood Street, Bury.

In the last 12 months, the council has issued 23 FPNs for fly-tipping, 16 for littering and 1 for a breach of household duty of care.

There are 21 recycling centres across Greater Manchester, including two in the borough of Bury, where residents can take their waste free of charge for disposal. For local and other centres visit: www.bury.gov.uk/recyclingcentres
