Focus on health at Bury East Township Forum

Plans to transform local health and care services will be discussed whenBury East Township Forum meets on Wednesday 19 March.

People are invited to come and hear a presentation from NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group and provide some early feedback.

Dr Kiran Patel, chair and clinical lead for NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: "We are pleased to have the opportunity to come to each of the township forums to talk about the plans and vision to transform health and care services in Bury. Through these plans, we want patients to experience a more joined-up system of care, improved health and have a better experience of local services. At the forums we will share these plans and local people will have the chance to tell us what they think about them and what is important to them."

Residents can also give their views on the draft Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, and there will be updates on new projects launched under the Bury East Alcohol Prospectus Scheme and about youth engagement.

The meeting is at New Kershaw Centre in Deal Street, Bury and starts at 7pm. The usual open forum and public question time will be on the agenda in the second half of the meeting.
