Press release -
Four more fined for fly-tipping and littering
A further four people have been fined for dumping their waste on the streets of the borough.
Fixed penalty notices of £400 were issued for fly-tipping offences at Springwater Nature Reserve, Roman Road in Prestwich, and Livesey Street in Whitefield. A £75 FPN was issued for littering in Knight Street, Bury.
Councillor Alan Quinn, cabinet member for the environment, climate change and operations, said: “Everyone hates litter – it blights our communities, and costs tax payers money to clear it up. We will continue to take action against those who dump their rubbish in our borough.”
