Free poetry reading event at Bury Library

Join Andrew Forster on Saturday 3 November at Bury Library for a free poetry event and light refreshments.       

Andrew, originally from South Yorkshire, spent 20 years living inScotlandbefore moving toCumbriain 2008 to work as literature officer for the Wordsworth Trust.

His poems have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies since 1993 and he has published two full-length collections of poetry with Flambard Press: ‘Fear of Thunder’ (2007) and ‘Territory’ (2010). His most recent publication, a collaboration with artist and printmaker Hugh Bryden entitled ‘Digging’, is a collection of ten new poems with illustrations.

After Andrew’s reading there will be an open mic poetry slot where you can share your own work on the theme of landscape, territory and home.  To book a place on the open mic please email a.e.bond@bury.gov.uk
