Golfers wanted for Mayor’s annual charity tournament

Keen – and kind-hearted - golfers are invited to take part in the Mayor of Bury’s annual charity golf tournament.

Now in its 25th year, the event is held at Stand Golf Club in Whitefield on Wednesday 25 September.

All proceeds will go to charities personally chosen by the mayor, Cllr Sharon Briggs, which are Bury Cancer Support Group and Making Space.

Tee times, offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, range from 9.30am to 2.50pm. Arelaxing round is followed by lunch at a cost of £15.

Local companies and individuals are also asked if they can provide donations for the raffle.
