Greater Manchester Fostering Fortnight aims to dispel myths
There’s a number of events taking place in Bury to help anyone considering fostering.
It’s Greater Manchester Fostering Fortnight (4-17 November) and the campaign is aiming to bust the myths that exist.
You can foster if you’re single, married, or living with someone, and there’s no upper age limit to being a foster parent.
Fostering provides children with a safe space to live, whilst remaining in a town or city they're familiar with.
Anyone who would like to know more can come along to several face to face or virtual events during the fortnight:
- Tuesday 5 Nov: 11am – 2pm at Ramsbottom Library
- Friday 8 Nov: 1pm – 2pm, online webinar. To book on go to: Foster for your Local Council - Online Information Evening (North West) Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite
- Wednesday 13 Nov: 11am – 3pm at The Rock Shopping Centre
- Friday 15 Nov: 11am – 3pm at The Rock Shopping Centre
