Hair and beauty = mayor’s charity

The owners of Verite hair and beauty salon in Radcliffe have raised money for one of the Mayor of Bury’s charities.

The money was raised from a ’wish tree’ that was in the Beech Street salon during December and early January, and will go to Grace’s Place children’s hospice.

The mayor, Councillor Michelle Wiseman, came by to pick up the cheque for £142, and said: “My grateful thanks to all the salon ladies and their customers, who showed such generosity to what is a great cause.”
