Health the key focus for township forum
Plans to improve the health of Bury East residents will be high on the agenda when the Bury East Township Forum meets on Monday 26 November at the Jubilee Centre.
An innovative new partnership project to address mental health issues within the South Asian community will be discussed and residents will have their chance to ask questions and have their say.
A new fire safety DVD aimed at Bury East residents, produced in partnership with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, will be shown on the evening.
There will also be a police update and an opportunity for residents to meet the new inspector for Bury East.
Tan Ahmed, chair of Bury East Township Forum, said: “The health of the community in Bury East is of paramount importance to the Bury East Township Forum and this will be an opportunity for people to find out what is happening within their community. It will be an interactive meeting and those who attend will have the chance to meet some of the key people helping to improve the lives of Bury East residents.”
The meeting starts at 7pm, and the usual open forum and public question time will be on the agenda in the second half of the meeting.
