Press release -

Help shape your community at the Bury East Township Forum

Residents are invited to attend the first Bury East Township Forum of the municipal year, which takes place on Thursday 30 June.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to help shape the future of their community. The ‘round table’ discussions will focus on what is good about the community and how people can work together to address issues that are important to those who live and work in Bury East.

The discussions will consider emerging issues and priorities and inform the work and focus of the township forum over the next 12 months.

There will also be updates from the police, the forum’s advisory group, and the funding available to voluntary and community groups.

The meeting is in the Peel Room in Bury Town Hall and starts at 7pm, with a police drop-in session for residents beginning at 6pm.

There will also be the usual open forum in which to raise any local matters.

Further details: David Thomas, township co-ordinator, on 0161 253 7455.
