Improve your skills at ‘The Big Community Day Out’

Come along and meet tutors and staff from Bury Adult Learning Centre and find out more about improving your job prospects, creative skills and health and wellbeing.

Bury Adult Learning Centre is holding ‘The Big Community Day Out’ on Saturday 22 July, at 10.30am-2.30pm, where you can find out more about what it offers.

There’s free taster sessions including baking, art, computing, mindfulness, crafts, creative writing and much more.

You’ll be able to pick up a free course guide for courses starting in September.

You’ll also be able to chat to community and wellbeing organisation including:

  • Bury Libraries and what your local library has to offer
  • Persona (Shared Lives) – the organisation that supports vulnerable adults to live with families
  • Calico – a free advice and information network for people in Bury who need help to maintain or find a tenancy or are struggling in their own home

There will also be the annual exhibition of learners’ work in art, crafts, textiles and creative writing for you to take a look and be inspired.
