Inspiring inclusion on International Women’s Day

International Women's Day (8 March) is being celebrated this year with a range of local events.

This year’s theme is Inspire Inclusion which looks at the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life including those from marginalized communities.

All women are being invited to come along to a celebration event with lunch and round table discussions about women’s education, health, employment, community groups and awareness campaigns to support women including the white ribbon campaign.

It takes place on Thursday 7 March at the Mosses Centre, Edward Street, Bury BL9 0RZ from 1pm-4pm.

The Met will be hosting an International Women’s Day celebration on Friday 8 March with music, workshops, food and drink and lots of dancing.

The event is free to attend by visiting The Met website.

Throughout the week of 4 to 7 March, there are a series of lunch and learn online sessions delivered by Flourish CIC.

Flourish CIC is a women’s network of social entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders and who are based at their hub in Heaton Park.

Lunch and learns are from noon to 1.30pm and are free to attend. Tickets are through eventbrite for the following sessions:
