Inter Alia – something different at Bury Art Museum

Students have been transforming the existing collections atBuryArt Museuminto something new of their own.

They have created the Inter Alia exhibition, which runs at theMoss Streetvenue from 10 November to 2 March.

 Working with museum curators, students from the fashion styling/image making course atSalfordUniversityhave focused on the reinvention of the way the collection is interpreted, displayed and seen.

They have taken inspiration both from the museum and art collections, and the storage and display spaces, to embark on fashion photo shoots and to create a major exhibition in the museum using objects chosen from the collections.

Bury Art Museum has a history of working with emerging artists and supporting them in their careers, presenting them with the opportunity to work with the collections and to respond to them in new and innovative ways.

The museum is open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday.
