It’s time to celebrate Bury’s carers

Bury’s many carers are invited to a celebratory afternoon in recognition of all the hard work they do.

The event takes place on Thursday 21 July at the Welly Community Cafe in Manchester Road Park, a short walk from Bury Metrolink and bus interchange.

A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

From 2pm to 6pm, there will be a range of events including singers, a quiz and a taster session of bowls, plus a wide range of information for carers and refreshments.

This event is organised by Bury Carer Strategy Group to acknowledge and celebrate carers, reflect on how far carer support in Bury has come, and to find out how further improvements can be made.

For further information, call 0161 253 5439 or email ecc.sdu@bury.gov.uk
