Learn how to cycle in Bury for free

More free tutorials are taking place in Bury for beginner cyclists who want to learn how to ride a bike.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is holding two ‘learn to ride’ courses at Clarence Park, BL9 6NQ.

The sessions – which are for adults over 16 years old – will take place from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm on Saturday 16 August.

The courses must be booked beforehand at http://betterbycycle.eventbrite.co.uk or by phoning 0300 123 1675.

It’s a great opportunity to learn skills including balancing, starting, stopping your bike, using the gears and how to look, signal and turn.

People taking part will be tutored by experts and can either bring their own bikes or ask for one to be made available to them.

The Bury courses are just a few among dozens taking place throughout the ten districts of Greater Manchester as TfGM aims to make Greater Manchester the most cycle-friendly British region
outside London.
