“Let’s talk autism in the workplace”

Families, employers and professionals are invited to a free drop-in event to look at helping those with autism in the workplace.

The session is on Tuesday 30 June at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury Town Hall, from noon to 5pm.

It brings together a variety of organisations that provide support, advice, guidance and opportunities in relation to employment and training for people with autism in Bury.The event will also be beneficial for younger people over the age of 14.

Attendees are invited to gain:

  • An understanding of autism in the workplace;
  • An employer/employee perspective outlining the success of recruiting an individual with autism;
  • Advice regarding the wealth of free support available to employers and their recruits to enable their employment to be streamlined and successful.
