Let’s Do It – volunteer for Radcliffe!

Public-spirited residents are invited to the Radcliffe Volunteers Fair which takes place next Wednesday (15 March).

This is an opportunity to get involved in the community, maybe try something new, and meet and talk to a wide variety of local groups and volunteers.

Hosted by Bury VCFA and Outreach, the Fair takes place from 10am to 3pm at the Outreach Community Space in 35-37 Blackburn Street, Radcliffe.

Among the groups attending are: Growing Together Radcliffe, Incredible Edible Radcliffe, Age UK Bury, Befriending, Bury Hospice, Outreach Community and Residential Services, Transport for Sick Children, Bury Blind Society, Radcliffe Rotary, Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal Society, Bury Croquet Club and more.

Councillor Richard Gold, cabinet member for finance and communities, said: “Volunteering is a terrific way to support your community while improving your skills, developing your talents, and gaining the type of experience employers look for. It’s also great for making new friends and improving your own wellbeing.

“Radcliffe has a vibrant, active community of volunteers who regularly give up their own time to perform important tasks such as helping out at a food bank, litter picking, improving green spaces, or supporting people through the cost of living crisis. Find out more at the Radcliffe Volunteers Fair!”
