Local election results in Bury

Labour now have a majority of 25 seats on Bury Council following yesterday’s (Thursday 22 May) local elections.

Labour won 2 seats from the Conservatives and 1 seat from the Liberal Democrats, as one third of the
council’s 51 seats came up for election.

The new balance on Bury Council is:Labour 38 seats, Conservatives 11, Liberal Democrat 1 and Independent 1.

The votes were counted today (Friday 23 May) at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury. The full results can be viewed at www.bury.gov.uk/elections2014
