​Local election results in Bury

Labour now have a majority of seven seats on Bury Council following tonight’s (Thursday 2 May) local elections.

Labour and the Conservatives both lost one seat overall while the Liberal Democrats and Independents each gained one, as one third of the council’s 51 seats came up for election.

The new balance on Bury Council is: Labour 29 seats, Conservatives 16, Liberal Democrats 4 and Independent 2.

The turnout was 35.6%.

The votes were counted at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury, and the full results can be read at https://www.bury.gov.uk/results2019
