Make sure you can vote in the elections

Residents across Bury are about to receive their polling cards for the upcoming council and European Parliament elections.

Both elections take place on Thursday 22 May. If you are not on the electoral register, perhaps as a result of recently moving house, you must contact the council by Tuesday 6 May if you want to vote.

Anyone who wishes to have a postal or a proxy vote must ask for one by Wednesday 7 May.

If you want to stand as a candidate in the Bury Council elections, the closing date is Thursday 24 April.
