Mayor’s invitation to Bollywood charity night

Press release -

Mayor’s invitation to Bollywood charity night

There will be a strong Indian flavour to the Mayor of Bury’s latest fundraising event in aid of local charities.

Councillor Sharon Briggs is hosting a Bollywood Night at Radcliffe Civic Suite on Friday 21 February, with proceeds going to Bury Cancer Support Centre and Making Space.

The night features entertainment from Bollywood dancers, a comedian, a DJ and disco. Food comprises an Indian buffet-style banquet, including vegetarian dishes, catered by Spice Valley, Bolton.

The mayor says she will get into the spirit of the event and wear traditional Bollywood dress, and invites others to follow suit – although this is strictly optional.

The event starts at 7pm and admission is by ticket only, available from Barbara Sowerby on 01204 382713 or Jet Vyas on 07957 547800 or email mailto:jet.vyas@sky.com
