Moorside Election results

Sandra Walmsley has won the election in Moorside ward held on Thursday 18 June 2026.

The full results were:

• Jill Budgen (Bury Independents) – 61
• Alan Derby (Reform UK) - 1030
• Jihyun Park (The Conservative Party Candidate) - 108
• Conor William Craig Priestley (The Green Party) - 200
• Sandra Walmsley (The Labour Party) - 1308
• Aamer Yasin (Workers Party of Britain) - 609

The turnout was 39%.

It means the new line-up on Bury Council is now:

• Labour 31 seats
• Radcliffe First 6
• Reform 6
• Conservatives 3
• Together for Bury 2
• Workers Party of Britain 1
• Independent 2

The original election in the ward was cancelled following the death of one of the candidates, Victor Hagan, who was standing for Reform UK.
