New family hub opens at Chesham Fold

A new family hub has officially opened! Chesham Fold Family Hub, at 89 Chesham Fold Road, Bury, is now open for families to find support and community activities.

The launch took place on Saturday (14 March) with a community fun day full of activities, including crafts, football with Bury FC, Tombola and Forest Play for under-5s.

Collette Radcliffe, early years service manager at Bury Council, said: “It has been a wonderful day, welcoming the local community to the new family hub. This has been a long time coming and a huge amount of hard work across the team at Bury and our partners has taken place to get this new family hub open in an area where previously we have not had these services readily available. We look forward to growing our offer across all our family hubs and continuing to support children and families to give everyone the best start in life.”

Family hubs and children's centres in Bury support children from conception to 19 years old (25 years with Special Education Needs and Disabilities) and their families/carers.

Universal and Universal Plus sessions are delivered to ensure that Bury children are given the best opportunities and best start for life. Family Hubs and Children’s Centres offer lots of different services for families to access locally. The services range from ante-natal care right through to youth services.
