New website to boost adoption and fostering

Every child deserves a happy home – that’s the motto of a new campaign to recruit foster carers and adopters for children in Bury.

As part of the project, the council has launched a dedicated website - www.adoptfosterbury.org.uk – with all the information and help that people need.

Councillor Gill Campbell, cabinet member for children and families, said: “The council has invested in the future of our most vulnerable children, enabling social workers to recruit local families to care for Bury children. The more foster carers and adopters we recruit, the quicker children move to permanent homes, giving them much better opportunities.”

Anyone who would like more information about adoption and fostering in Bury can also call 0800 9555 311.
