Open Day at Falcon and Griffin Extra Care Scheme

Press release -

Open Day at Falcon and Griffin Extra Care Scheme

An open day is being held for people to see all the latest facilities at Falcon and Griffin Extra Care Scheme in Bury

The scheme helps customers to live independently for as long as possible and gives them the security and privacy of having their own front door. It gives customers their independence and may prevent them from having to go into residential care or hospital.

The scheme has recently been fully refurbished, with every flat upgraded to improve accessibility for residents.

The open day is on Tuesday 29 October, and anyone can drop in between 11am and 4pm to take a tour and find out more about what extra care offers. Refreshments will be provided and the scheme managers, support workers and residents will be on hand for a chat.

Among those attending the open day are Pat Jones-Greenhalgh, executive director of adult care services; Sharon McCambridge, chief executive of Six Town Housing; Councillor Mike Connolly, leader of the council; and the Mayor of Bury, Cllr Sharon Briggs.

For more details of the scheme, call 0161 253 6672.
