Open for business – the new Radcliffe Regeneration Office

A new Radcliffe Regeneration Office has opened at 4 Dale Street where businesses and residents can find out about the exciting plans to transform the town centre.

The new office, which opened its doors today (Mon 27 Sep), will be open from Monday to Friday (10am to 3pm) and Bury Council project officers will be on hand to answer questions and talk through the wide-ranging plans.

Councillor Eamon O’Brien, leader of Bury Council and cabinet member for finance, business growth and infrastructure, said: “We want Radcliffe to be a place where all people, communities and businesses thrive, and we’re excited to be developing the plans and investment proposals to bring this vision to life.

“The Radcliffe Regeneration Office will help us share and raise awareness of what’s planned; but, most importantly, provide the opportunity for us to engage with local people, hear their views and answer any questions first-hand.

“Please do call in to chat to our knowledgeable project officers so that they can update you on what’s to come and give you a real sense of the Radcliffe we want for the future.”

People visiting Radcliffe Regeneration Office will be able to find out about the Radcliffe Strategic Regeneration Framework and how this will shape and guide regeneration in the town for the next 15 years via short, medium and long-term action.

They will also be able to get more detail on upcoming plans for:

• The new multi-use civic hubfor leisure, a library, learning opportunities and more;
• The new high school to boost local learning opportunities;
• Delivery of affordable homes through the development of brownfield land;
• Market Chambers renovation for flexible office space, retail and a food and drink offer;
• Market Hall basement refurbishment for a cultural and community events space;
• Broader supporting works to improve transport links, provide for active travel and enhance the public realm.
