Press release -

Our health, our Radcliffe – join the Our Place community conference

Radcliffe residents will be getting together again to agree local priorities for the Our Place project following a community event held earlier this year.

Our Place is about working together to improve health and wellbeing through community-led initiatives and projects that put local people in control.

The event is held on Thursday 23 October at Radcliffe Civic Suite, from 10am to 2pm.

All residents are welcome to attend this event, which will also give people opportunities to shape priorities for a small grant fund designed to support grass roots projects.

For more details, call Christine Maksymowski, Radcliffe Township co-ordinator, on 0161 253 7941 or email c.maksymowski@bury.gov.uk

Note to editors:

Our Place Initiative - Our Place is a fundamental part of the Government’s approach to localism, transforming public services by making sure that they are focused on the user and not the organisation. The programme is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

A successful application was submitted in June 2014 that has led to Radcliffe being awarded a further £17,000 to fund work in the local community.
