Press release -
Our support for families during the holiday season
The holiday period with Christmas and Hanukah coming up is generally a time for family and fun but can also be difficult for a number of reasons.
Bury Council is opening its family hub and children's centres to provide families and young people a safe space to drop in if they want a chat, a friendly face or any support during the holiday period.
The Early Years, Early Help and Youth Service will be working together to provide advice about parenting, mental health, school or college, finances, parental conflict, friendships, sexual health, domestic abuse, substance misuse, housing and any other support.
Drop ins will be 10am-noon and 1-3pm.

Councillor Lucy Smith, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said: “This time can be a joyous one but also a difficult one for many of our vulnerable families and children.
“That’s why we’ve put on these extra support sessions to help you should you need it.
“Our family hubs and children’s centres provide a range of support that families can access the right support when it’s needed.”
