Primary School Placements 2026

Primary school placements – 98% get school of preference

All Bury children have been allocated a school place, with more than 1,900 children in Bury heading to a primary school of their preference this September.

And 98% have been offered a place for their child at one of their three preference schools.

Emails are today being sent to all parents who applied online, and letters sent to other applicants.

Ben Dunne, Director, Education & Skills, said: “It is a delight that so many of our young children will be heading to a school of their preference in September. Early education is a key building block in children’s lives, and it is a privilege to work alongside our dedicated teachers, schools and trusts to ensure we give all our children the best start in life and in their education.”
