Public meetings to discuss Bury’s housing needs

Residents are invited to five public meetings to discuss how Bury can best meet its housing needs for years to come.

The council is carrying outdetailed consultation on its draft Housing Strategy 2013-23, and wants to hear from as many people as possible. 

The meetings are:

* Thursday 24 October - Peel Room, Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall (6-8pm)

* Wednesday 30 October – Longfield Suite, Prestwich (7-9pm)

* Tuesday 5 November - Elms Community Centre, Whitefield (1-3pm)

* Wednesday 13 November - Ramsbottom Civic Hall (6-8pm)

* Monday 18 November - Radcliffe Civic Suite (10am to noon)

The strategy will look at five areas: sufficient and suitable supply of housing, affordability, empty properties, good quality accommodation, and partnership development
