Quality and variety at the third Prestwich Artisan Market

A wide range of products and attractions awaits visitors to the third Prestwich Artisan Market which takes place on Sunday 24 September.

A joint partnership between Bury Venues, the Longfield Suite and local retailer Village Greens Cooperative, the event will feature more than 40 specialist artisan traders.

Stalls will be located inside the Longfield Suite and around the Prestwich Fountain and will feature specialists in food, drink, vegan skincare, jewellery, horticulture and art and illustration.

This will be complemented by local cultural attractions Prestwich Community Cinema, Take Me To Church and Bury Art Collective, and media support from Prestwich and Whitefield blog/website.

The last market attracted more than 2,500 visitors and was a busy day for retailers in Prestwich.

Paul Campbell of Village Greens said: “We established the Artisan Market to bring a selection of the finest artisan products to the people of Prestwich and with a wider brief to stimulate Prestwich village as a whole.

“Businesses such as ourselves reported that sales nearly doubled on the day of the market. Percival’s the newsagent had to order in extra papers that day, cafes such as Barley opened specially, the new Polish Plus shop did a roaring trade and the branches of chains such as Costa Coffee and Iceland saw a noticeable sales boost."
