Radcliffe Library knitters raise money for Bury Hospice

Members of Radcliffe Library knitting group have handed over items to Bury Hospice along with £300 raised from the sale of their knitted creations.

James Arthur, hospice fund-raising manager and Angie Anderson, in-patient unit manager, came to see the knitting group, which meets every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm. “The group have obviously been really busy and we are very grateful for these wonderful knitted items and the money raised,” they said. 

There are knitting groups at the following libraries, and everyone is welcome regardless of experience:

 

  • Bury – Mondays (1-3pm)
  • Brandlesholme – Thursdays (1.30-3.30pm)
  • Coronation Road – Thursdays (10am-noon)
  • Dumers Lane – Wednesdays (10-noon)
  • Moorside – Tuesdays (2-4pm)
  • Topping Fold – Wednesdays (5-7pm)
  • Whitefield – Tuesdays (10-11am)
