Ramsbottom anaerobic digestion plant – public inquiry details

A public inquiry surrounding plans to build an anaerobic digestion plant at Fletcher Bank in Ramsbottom will be held next year on 10 March.

Earlier this year, Bury Council’s planning committee refused to give planning permission for the scheme, but the applicants - Peel Environmental and Marshalls Mono Ltd - lodged an appeal.

The matter will now be decided by an independent inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

The inquiry will be held at the Elizabethan Suite in Bury Town Hall, and is scheduled to last four days.

For details of the inquiry, and how to make comments, residents should go to the Planning Inspectorate website at:  http://www.pcs.planningportal.gov.uk/pcsportal/ViewCase.asp?caseid=2224754&coid=2101874
