Sports clubs invited to symposium

Local sports clubs and volunteers are invited to the Bury Club and Coach Symposium which takes place on Monday 31 March.

The event is a great opportunity to network and get the latest information on what support is available to them, including funding and courses.

This year’s symposium will focus on two themes: Bidding for Funding, and Opportunities and challenges for clubs taking on self-management.

Representatives from the I Will If You Will sports pilot will explain how clubs can get involved in this national project, and there is a chance to sign up to a CASC workshop.

The event will feature speakers from Sport England, Greater Sport and Sports Coach UK, who will provide clubs and coaches with professional advice on how to manage a successful sports club.

Organised by Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service, the symposium takes place at Sedgley Park Rugby Club, Park Lane, Whitefield from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

The cost is £5 (free for ClubBURY clubs and coaches). To book a place, call 0161 253 5893 or email mailto:a.goddard@bury.gov.uk
