Summer play at Chesham Local Nature Reserve

Looking for something to do in the school holidays? Head for Chesham Local Nature Reserve and get some fresh air and summer fun.

Play activities for children aged 8 and above include bug hunts, den-making and pond-dipping. They have been organised by Bury Accessible Natural Greenspace project and delivered by Lancashire Wildlife Trust.

The sessions take place every Monday and Tuesday until 27 August, from 10 to 4pm, and are free of charge thanks to funding from Natural England’s Access to Nature Programme, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

Previous play sessions have been very popular, so parents are urged to book places as soon as possible: call Jacqui Goggs on 0161 253 7764 or email j.goggs@bury.gov.uk.
