The Mayor of Bury invites children to create his official Christmas card

Budding young artists are encouraged to let their imaginations shine by designing the Mayor’s official Christmas card for 2025.

All primary school children are invited to enter the competition and help spread holiday cheer throughout the community.

The winning entry will be featured on the mayor’s card, with prizes awarded to selected designs. A special exhibition will be held at Bury Art Museum & Sculpture Centre to showcase as many entries as possible.

Councillor Noel Bayley, the Mayor of Bury, said: “This much-loved competition is a wonderful opportunity for young people to get involved in a cherished local tradition, and for the whole community to come together in the spirit of the season.”

“I look forward to seeing the many and wonderful designs that the borough’s talented young people can dream up.”

The competition opens today (1 October) and deadline for entries is 31 October. Youngsters should submit their designs via their school, or send directly to Bury Art Museum.

During the October half-term holiday (27-31 October), Bury Art Museum will devote a space in the gallery where children can complete their designs in artistic and inspiring surroundings.
