Tottington by-election – the full results
George Martin won today’s by-election in Tottington to become the third Reform UK member of Bury Council.
The full results were:
- Drew Keanu Bell (Labour)…..346
- Greg Keeley (Together for Bury)…..193
- Chloe King (The Green Party)…..257
- Emma Elizabeth Lee (The Conservative and Unionist Party)…..627
- George Henry Martin (Reform UK)…..929
The turnout was 31%.
The new line-up on Bury Council is now: Labour 32 seats, Radcliffe First 7, Conservatives 5, Reform UK 3, Together for Bury 3, and Independent 1.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Together for Bury councillor Luis McBriar halfway through his four-year term, meaning that the new Cllr Martin will serve the remainder of that period.
- The scheduled Bury Council elections will take place on Thursday 7 May. You must be on the electoral register to vote – the deadline for applying is midnight on Monday 20 April. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
