Trace your ancestors with Bury Library Service

If you are new to genealogy and need help and guidance on how to trace your ancestors, then book a place on a Family History on-line taster.

These take place at Bury Local and Family History Centre, at Bury Museum on Moss Street, Bury, on the following dates:

  • Thursday 14 February (10-11.45am)
  • Wednesday 20 Feb (2-3.45pm)
  • Tuesday 19 March (10-11.45am)
  • Wednesday 20 March (10-11.45am)

Places will be limited to ensure that you are given the necessary support to help with searches and with using the online resources available.

Each session costs £6 (£5 for library members). To book a place, call 0161 253 5871 or email information@bury.gov.uk

Bury Library Service subscribes to both the Ancestry and FindMyPast online resources and these are free to access from any of Bury’s libraries.
