Want to become a friend of the Kirklees Valley?
Local residents and keen conservationists are invited to attend the next meeting of the Friends of Kirklees Valley Local Nature Reserve.
It will be held at St Francis House, on Hebburn Drive, Brandlesholme at 7pm on Tuesday 22 March.
Established in 2007 to discuss the Woolfold Gap project on the Kirklees Trail, the group has overseen the declaration of part of the valley as a Local Nature Reserve and the award of a Woodland Improvement Grant by the Forestry Commission.
It discusses other work taking place by the council and volunteer groups in the area as well as relevant development proposals. It is attended by many of the community groups active in the area.
