Press release -

Work starts to resurface Bolton Road

Six weeks of roadworks are due to start on Bolton Road in Bury from Tuesday 8 October to Friday 15 November.

The work will involve resurfacing the road between its junction with Deardens Street and Mile Lane.

Bolton Road will remain open throughout the duration of the works. The normal flow of traffic will not be disrupted except when surfacing works are being undertaken and these operations will be carried out under temporary signal control.

A council spokesman said: “These works are part of our regular capital maintenance programme to improve the condition of the borough’s roads.

“We have tried to minimise the disruption to drivers by carrying out the works at off-peak times between 9.30am and 3.30pm. We would, however, ask drivers to allow extra time for their journey.”
