Your Tourist Information Centre needs you!

Forties Fever hits Bury Tourist Information Centre (TIC) this Saturday (24 May) as it celebrates the East Lancashire Railway 1940s Weekend.

The centre will be holding its popular ‘Make Do and Mend’ craft fair with hand-made goods, children’s craft activity demonstrations and music from the 1940s with a choir.

The event will take place from 10am to 4pm in the TIC, which is in the Fusilier Museum on Moss Street, opposite Bury Art Museum – and The Fusilier Museum is offering free admission to anyone in
period dress.

On the first floor, Delicious café will be serving up traditional wartime grub alongside their usual range of home-made hot food, sandwiches and cakes.
