The needs of vulnerable people who need social care were prioritised by Bury Council when it set its budget and council tax tonight (Wed 22 Feb).
Proposed changes in the way some adult care services are provided will be considered by the council’s cabinet next Wednesday (1 October).
Bury Council is holding a second period of consultation as it strives to find a further £8.7 million in budget savings.
Staff and Governors from schools across Bury were invited to the first ever Traded Services fair on 8 November where they were introduced to meet with suppliers from council departments in a bid to find out more about services offered, work more effectively and potentially make some cash savings.
