4 April pencilled in for talks
Southern today confirmed it ran over nine in 10 (90.5%) of its normal train service during yesterday's RMT strike.
Train operator Southern will be aiming to run most of its services during the RMT’s latest strike next Monday, 13 March
In response to the RMT calling another day of strike action on 13 March, a Southern spokesperson said: “This will be the 30th day of RMT strike action for Southern passengers and today’s news is clearly disappointing."
"We are disappointed that the RMT is going to heap yet further misery and disruption on the travelling public. We aim to run as full a service as we can."
"We came to today’s meeting hopeful we could find a way forward to end the RMT’s dispute and we’re saddened it’s ended so prematurely."
"We are ready, willing and able to meet with the RMT."
Southern has called again on the RMT to suspend its strike action after confirming that over 70% of its trains will run tomorrow (Monday 23 January) with a full service returning on Tuesday.
