Press release -

Southern confirms over 90% of trains ran during RMT strike

14 March

Southern today confirmed it ran over nine in 10 (90.5%) of its normal train service during yesterday's RMT strike.

The train operator said this is an increase on the 87% of services it ran on the last RMT strike day on 22 February.

Once again, over half of Southern's conductors and On Board Supervisors reported for work.

Southern Passenger Services Director Angie Doll said:

"We’re pleased we were able to provide a comprehensive train service for our passengers during the RMT strike. The unions should now recognise that continuing with their industrial action is unnecessary and pointless”.
