Govia Thameslink’s fundraising sees Christmas come early to children’s hospice

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) has presented its latest fundraising donation of £6,176 to Chestnut Tree House Hospice, the only children’s hospice in Sussex.

Drivers, engineers, station and office staff voted for the hospice to become the rail operator's corporate charity for the south in its annual staff survey. The hospice was nominated by Keith Hills, On-Board Supervisor Manager at Barnham, after it cared for the granddaughter of Worthing station sales clerk Nigel Thorne five years ago.
