London Victoria closed to Southern and Gatwick Express this Sunday 14th February

Planned Engineering work by Network Rail will be taking place between London Victoria and Balham on Sunday 14th February. This will close platforms 9 through to 19 at Victoria, meaning Southern and Gatwick Express train services will not be able to use the station all day.

To mitigate as much as possible, additional Southern services will run to and from London Bridge and buses will run between London Victoria and Balham via Clapham Junction.

Southern Train Services

Southern will be running the following services from London Bridge:

2 trains per hour London Bridge to Brighton
2 trains per hour London Bridge to East Grinstead
1 train per hour London Bridge to Ore
1 train per hour London Bridge to Portsmouth & Littlehampton (via Hove)
1 train per hour London Bridge to Horsham
1 train per hour London Bridge to Bognor (via Horsham)
2 trains per hour London Bridge to Dorking (via Tulse Hill and Mitcham Junction)
2 trains per hour London Bridge to Tattenham Corner (via Sydenham)

Southern tickets will be accepted on the following:

Local Buses

Between London Bridge and Streatham Common there will be local bus ticket acceptance as we are not serving South Bermondsey, Queens Road Peckham, East Dulwich, North Dulwich and Streatham by train. Therefore TFL have agreed to allow ticket acceptance on bus routes covering affected stations and have arranged for acceptance on any reasonable alternative route between each station.

London Underground

Victoria and Euston.
Between London Victoria and London Blackfriars/London Bridge.
Balham and London Bridge/Blackfriars and London Victoria.

Other Train Operators

London Midland services between London Euston and Watford Junction.
Thameslink services between East Croydon and Blackfriars.

Passengers should expect extended journey times.

Gatwick Express services will not run. Passengers are advised to travel to London Bridge and use Southern services to / from Gatwick Airport. Overnight services will be replaced by buses between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
