New coffee van at Lingfield station
Southern rail users are once again able to get their caffeine fix at Lingfield station thanks to the arrival of a new coffee van this month.
Arabica Coffee House is supplying travellers with hot beverages, soft drinks, snacks and pastries from 6am to 11am Monday to Saturday.
Company director Jaafar Touili, who has worked in the coffee industry for 25 years, said: “It’s very exciting to open in Lingfield.
“I have been very busy.
“The feedback has been great.”
Jaafar’s top selling drink is the latte.
Station manager Donna Anderson said commuters had warmly welcomed the new van.
She said: “It’s been very well received.
“Arabica Coffee House are so friendly and accommodating to their customers.”
Lingfield station had been without a coffee van for about four weeks following the withdrawal of another operator.
Jaafar set up his business about a year and a half ago, opening his first outlet at Horsham station in February this year.
The coffee shop at Horsham serves customers from 6am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 3pm on Sunday.
Company operations are run by Jaafar’s brother Khalil.
