North Kent’s Thameslink services extend to Luton on Saturdays
Improvements to the Thameslink’s timetable this May will provide passengers in southeast London and north Kent with direct services as far as Luton and Luton Airport on Saturdays for the first time.
From Saturday 23 May, Thameslink’s half-hourly service between Rainham and Kentish Town will be extended to Luton, calling at West Hampstead, Mill Hill Broadway, Elstree & Borehamwood, Radlett, St Albans, Harpenden, Luton Airport Parkway and Luton. There are no other permanent changes planned for Thameslink on this part of the network.
Thameslink Managing Director Tom Moran said: “These extended services will give thousands of our passengers a new direct link to Luton Airport on Saturdays, and more weekend travel options on direct trains to north London and Hertfordshire.”

Editor’s note
These Saturday services will no longer call at Kentish Town, which will continue to be served by the four Thameslink trains per hour each way on the route between St Albans and Sutton.
