Over the August Bank Holiday, Network Rail delivered a package of improvements worth over £2.8m to bring better, more reliable journeys for passengers between Hitchin and London terminals. Network Rail engineers have successfully completed upgrades to Littlehaven level crossing and now have the bank holiday weekend to complete final stages of work at Parsonage Road level crossing in Horsham while the railway is less busy. Work will also continue on track replacement at Faygate.
Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) will make a small set of timetable changes for some Southern routes from Sunday 4 September 2022. The new Autumn timetable will add 45 weekday train services overall. It is important that passengers check their journey planners for travel from 4 September.

Passengers should travel only if absolutely necessary on Southern, Great Northern and Thameslink on Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 August and the mornings after on Friday 19 and Sunday 21 August due to next week’s strike by RMT members at Network Rail and UK train operators
