Network Rail delivers multi-million-pound package of improvements along East Coast Main Line and Northern City Line over the August Bank Holiday
Over the August Bank Holiday, Network Rail delivered a package of improvements worth over £2.8m to bring better, more reliable journeys for passengers between Hitchin and London terminals. Work on the East Coast Digital Programme will continue on Sunday 4 and Sunday 18 September, and on Sunday 9 October; no services will be able to run on the Northern City Line on these dates

Work continues to improve level-crossing safety in Horsham this August bank holiday weekend
Network Rail engineers have successfully completed upgrades to Littlehaven level crossing and now have the bank holiday weekend to complete final stages of work at Parsonage Road level crossing in Horsham while the railway is less busy. Work will also continue on track replacement at Faygate.

Check before you travel ahead of localised changes to Southern timetables from 4 September
Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) will make a small set of timetable changes for some Southern routes from Sunday 4 September 2022. The new Autumn timetable will add 45 weekday train services overall. It is important that passengers check their journey planners for travel from 4 September.
